All students must enroll with the Silver Springs Recreation Center. All classes are held on a 4 week & 6 week session arrangement depending on the season. Please see the center personnel for rates and session period.

Existing DWMA Aikidoka
If you are an existing DWMA student, and wish to attend the classes held in the S/E, DWMA will discount the total monthly fee amount from your dojo membership dues. This will enable you to attend classes at both locations at no additional cost.

Dogi's (uniforms) are required and must be white or natural in color. Gi's must be free of any patches or embroidery, and may be obtained through the Instructor. Please see instructor prior to obtaining a dogi on your own to ensure the proper dogi is obtained. All students are welcome to wear the Hakama, and must be blue or black in color. It is at the students discretion as to when to begin wearing the Hakama, however it is recommended that the student wait until their first test. This will provide ample opportunity to develop basic footwork, ukemi (falling & rolling), and the time to assess their endeavor. Aikido is a life long process.

Aikido
This is a general class open to all skill levels. This class will be conducted exactly as it is in our full-time dojo. Students may progress in rank toward their Yudansha grade (Black Belt) as they meet those requirements necessary to do so.

Aikido Kids
This class is designed for parent and child participation. 1 parent per 1 child please. Students will learn basic movement of the art (footwork, ukemi [falling & rolling], weapons etc.), basic Japanese language specific to the art, and most importantly, the parent & child will be afforded valuable bonding time to grow and learn about each other and themselves through structure, discipline and focus.

* Womens Self-Defense Class is held on the first & third Saturday of each month in our N/W location at 12pm-1pm

Womens Self-Defense is a one (1) hour class. This is free to all women ages 13 and up wishing to attend. This class is intended to address the before, during and after of an unfortunate, but possible situation. This class will cover some of the same material each time, but will also address some of your "What if..." scenarios. Please wear something loose fitting and comfortable. No shorts or sleeveless shirts please.
