26-28th 2010 DWMA Spring Seminar All are welcome and encouraged to attend our annual Spring 2010 Seminar with George Ledyard Sensei. Pre-registration is encouraged, and may be done by contacting DWMA. George Ledyard Sensei brings another level of training with him that will enhance ones Aikido on many levels. 11 DWMA Workshop Kumi Jo 1-3 This class will focus on student testing requirements for weapons with DWMA and ASU, from the basic Kumi Jo 1-3. Understanding that there are many variations to the same movements and techniques in Aikido, and every martial art style and system, the fundamentals of movement and whole body unification with efficiency and effectiveness remains. Repetition for muscle memory, as well as a basic understanding of the purpose of each movement will also be explored. This workshop is open to all skill levels. 9 DWMA Workshop Randori (Multiple Attacker) This
class will focus on multiple partners. As with the previous workshops, this class builds on the previous classes offering a distinction of Randori versus Jiyu Waza, and integrating the principles in Atemi Waza, Blending and Jiyu Waza in a multiple partner scenario. We will explore strategy, philosophy, mentality and physical application of entering into, being in the middle of, and getting out of situations with more than one partner. Workshops: All workshops are
open to students from all martial disciplines & any school affiliation
and all skill levels. Space is limited to 20 participants for safety and
quality of instruction. Pre-registration is recommended and can be done
in person at the dojo, by mail prior to the workshop date. At the door
attendees will not be guaranteed a space in the class, and vacancies will
be on a 'first come first serve' basis. All workshops are held on a Sunday
10am-1pm, and are Pre-Registered/Pre-Paid @ $20.00 to reserve a space,
or $30.00 at the door (No guarantee of space). Please see Sensei for registration
